A NEW-GENERATION SKI RESORTA pioneering spirit right from the start

The greatest adventures are often the fruit of beautiful encounters. Such is the case for Les Arcs. In 1961, ski instructor and mountain guide Robert Blanc met Roger Godino, an ambitious young entrepreneur from Chambéry. Together, they took the crazy gamble of creating a winter sports resort on a communal mountain pasture. In an age of modernity and innovation, they wanted to use this project to imagine and rethink regional development in the mountains. To do this, they need a bold, creative breath of fresh air. That's what they got from Charlotte Perriand, the internationally renowned architect and designer, whose work would make Les Arcs a global benchmark for leisure living. Scattered around the massifs of Aiguille Rouge and Aiguille Grive, the five sites that make up Les Arcs offer a variety of atmospheres to meet all your desires.

Bourg Saint Maurice

The capital of Tarentaise, the main town supporting Les Arcs, has developed around the winter sports economy and has been expanding its year-round offerings for several years. This is evidenced by the funicular that connects the city center to the base of the ski lifts.

Arc 1600

The first of the Les Arcs resorts, a pioneering and forward-thinking station with a vision for collective housing that respects individuality, Arc 1600 charms with its human scale and the beauty of its surroundings.

Arc 1800

Nestled among the fir trees with a view of Mont Blanc, it is a gathering place for families and friends seeking activities. The heart of Les Arcs beats even stronger here. With its 1,000 m² Deep Nature Spa, the Mille 8 space (which includes a water park, fun ski slopes, and toboggan runs), and a myriad of activities offered in both winter and summer, you can enjoy a variety of pleasures!

Arc 1950

Arc 2000

Skiing and snow coverage are guaranteed at the most athletic of the Les Arcs resorts. Enthusiasts of alpine skiing tackle the steep slopes while beginners can learn at their own pace on green runs located between 1,800 and 2,000 meters in altitude.

The Les Arcs resort is part of the second-largest ski area in the world, providing skiers of all levels with an unlimited playground to ski freely. With 425 kilometers of slopes and three resorts connected by the Vanoise Express, the fastest cable car in the world, each day is unique—there’s no chance of getting bored! And there's no need to worry about snow coverage, as over 70% of the slopes are situated above 2,000 meters in altitude!
