Intrawest
In December 2003, Intrawest opened the first section of Village Arc 1950. The Canadian company Intrawest is world leader in ski resort, seaside and golf course development and distribution. Intrawest has perfect knowledge of all aspects related to the design and operation of a resort, from accommodation to food service, including specialised equipment and, of course, real estate development. Each year, Intrawest’s 21,900 employees take care of 8 million skiers and 750,000 golf players, ensuring their well-being to make their holiday unforgettable. Intrawest owns 16 real estate complexes, such as Whistler Blackcomb, Blue Mountain, Mont Tremblant, and others. Intrawest is also a partner of the Compagnie des Alpes (CDA), based in Paris, which is the largest ski company in terms of number of skiers (over 13 million per year) and ski lifts. CDA owns interests in the largest European ski resorts: Tignes, Méribel, La Plagne, Les Ménuires, Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry, Chamonix and the Grand Massif in France, Courmayeur in Italy and Verbier in Switzerland.
